Everybody in "Yoshiwara" knew her as a beautiful girl and an
accomplished courtesan. Her name was Miyano Tayu. A greedy brothel owner
sells her to the Emperor's Regent Counselor. But, she was in love with
another man, named Matsushima Shinnosuke. .A young man loses his way on
a stormy mountain path, where he finds a mysterious castle. Within, he
meets a beautiful woman, but

This work was produced in 2002 from an original story by the director. It depicts a fantasy world, a
story developed neither from dream nor phantom. In a sense, it is a "digital ningyo joruri" set in a beautiful miniature Japanese garden. All the characters
are dolls of chirimen rendered using CGFX (computer graphics). Chirimen is a traditional Japanese crepe silk fabric.
This DVD consists of the original "Animation"and "Picture-Story Show for a Grown-up". The former has won awards at several international festivals, including "Anima Mundi 2002" and "Zagreb 2004". Although it existed in a small-format version in the author's HP for a year, it was first presented to the public in its full version, making an impression on many other filmmakers. Out of this was born a collaboration to produce "Doberman DVD" with the musician Tomoyasu Hotei, who is active in the world of the stage.
Concerning the Picture-Story Show for a Grown-up, there are about 80 sheets of new images included, some of the stills were made from the author's HP in 2002, and others were newly made for this project.
